If anything happens with it, you are covered. If you buy a refurbished unit from the Apple Store, it comes with a one-year warranty exactly the same as a brand new MacBook.
The con side of the refurbished PBookG4 is that if it breaks down, you could end up spending more for repairs then a new MacBook. My little G4 PowerBook? It's on here! Ha ha ha ha ha.
